I will admit - I'm a sport fan.
I'm not crazy addicted. But I will watch sport on TV with B.
He doesn't follow a team. I'm an avid Carlton fan. Yep I am seriously thinking of paying a ridiculous amount for a Juddy jersey for the little man. Like $70 for a size 0,1 or 2?
Generally because we have Foxtel - we watch at least 4 games of AFL per weekend. I don't actually watch the whole game (unless it's Carlton ;)). I usually am on FB, blogging or twitter and just tune in occasionally.
But.... B has entered a supercoach team through his work. Oh My God! I am already sick of football and it's only the preseason comp.
We watched a lot of the NAB cup - which we probably would have done anyhow whether he was in supercoach or not - but now I have to listen to comments like "Yes, he is in my team", "Oh should I get .... (insert player name here)?", "How much is (insert player name here)?". I also get constant updates about what players were worth last year, how many points they averaged per game etc. I'm over it already!
Does anyone else have a partner who uses supercoach?
I think it's going to be a VERY long season!

Meet me Monday
So I thought that this week I'd take part in Meet me Monday. If you'd like to do the same then click here.
Basically you answer 5 questions about yourself then add the link so that others can learn about you :)
This weeks questions are
1. Do you have a fireplace in your home?
2. Can you drive a stick shift?
3. How many computers are in your home?
4. Are your taxes done yet? Do you do them yourself?
5. What is your favorite meal of the day?
My answers.....
1. Do you have a fireplace in your home?
No I don't - although I did growing up and it was one of my favourite things to come and stand in front of the fire to warm up. I still enjoy it when my parents have the open fire roaring but I don't think I could be bothered chopping all the wood to have one myself!
2. Can you drive a stick shift?
A Manual - Yes I can. I made sure I did my driving lessons in a manual car - my first two cars were both manual, but after sitting in traffic on a daily basis and not moving from 2nd gear for almost an hour each way, I decided that when I bought my new car it would be an automatic (which I love) but funnily enough now that I have an automatic car I rarely sit in traffic :)
3. How many computers are in your home?
I have 3 computers at home, our desktop - which isn't actually assembled anymore as it was too slow and old, so it sits in the garage in a box. Then B and I both have laptops which we use for work. Basically I have now hooked both of those up to our Internet and that way we can both be on the computer at the same time if need be.
4. Are your taxes done yet? Do you do them yourself?
Yes my taxes are done. I like to get my money back ASAP. But no I don't do them myself. I pay someone else to do it - I probably should try to do it myself but I never have.
5. What is your favorite meal of the day?
My favourite meal of the day is Dinner. I think this is because it is generally when the little man has gone to bed for the night and B and I can actually sit down and relax together. And also because it is almost the only meal of the day that is actually prepared and eaten in full and uninterrupted!!!

What makes me happy this week
Happy Moments
1. The long weekend - so many plans!
2. Kneeboarding with friends - I haven't been since before I was pregnant with the little man
3. Ebaying all my extra items around the house - decluttering at it's best.
4. Making baby food - for some reason I am finding this very gratifying
5. Seeing my little man lighting up lives of the people around him.
6. Photos! Photos! Photos! - going through the last month or so of pics - ready to print off @ Harvey Norman 9c :)
7. Sunshine! - it's about time we got some
What makes you happy?

A little bit of bliss
Bliss.
Me - BF- movie cinema - choc top - popcorn - coke.
2 and a half uninterrupted hours of zoning out, no brain straining required.
Whilst these moments are at most a weekly/fortnightly occurrence, I'm loving the chance to be my pre-mumma self, albeit fleetingly.
A simple form of happiness. What can I say - I'm easy to please :)

My Place & Yours
So like apparently I'm a week behind......
Well here is this weeks actual MPAY - playing along with Danielle @ HelloOwl
Well I'm assuming that B, little man and the two kittens are in the ute already - If I had time to save one thing it would be......
Yep that is an external hard drive. I told B about this post and that this was what I would save. He thought it was stupid, but my reasons are quite legit I think. (He thinks I want it because I have all my TV shows on there...).
1. When we got robbed :( I backed up all my files and put them on this hard drive - vowing that every time I left the house I would put it into the little man's room so as it wasn't near my laptop in case it was stolen. (also because the nice Police Officer Lady told me that childrens rooms are rarely touched in robberies. Hot tip - hide your valuables there!)
2. ALL my little man photos are on here - It is the only back up I have at the moment
3. My work files are on there.... not that I care ATM.
4. My precious TV shows are all on here (B was a little bit correct). I am a TV addict. I have loads of shows downloaded, but rarely time to watch them nowadays thanks to my little man!
I figure that if I lost everything in a fire, my photos would be the possession that would devastate me most. B doesn't agree - he says all the memories that we need we hold in our minds. Very philosophical - but I like to look through my albums all the time.
I think I might actually burn some CD's and put them at my parents house just to be safe!!
So here is the part where you share what your one thing would be. Head over to HelloOwl and linky away!
xx
P.S. For those of you wondering - I did ask B what his 'one thing' would be in this scenario.... his response was super quick - "My Boat of course" hmmmm I hate that boat - but that's a post for another time.....
Well here is this weeks actual MPAY - playing along with Danielle @ HelloOwl
This weeks theme is: One Thing.
Your house is on fire. The family is out. The photos are packed in the car and your brother has just came around with his ute. You have time to save one thing from your house {big or small}, just one thing.
What do you save and why? Well I'm assuming that B, little man and the two kittens are in the ute already - If I had time to save one thing it would be......

How precious is sleep?
I can't believe the years that I spent taking my sleep for granted! What I wouldn't give for an uninterrupted night of sleep or the days of old - where I was known to sleep into the afternoon.
Our little man is actually a pretty good sleeper - I know most people wouldn't complain, and I'm only kind of complaining ;)
Generally he will go down between 7:30-8pm and sleep at least until 4am with no wakes ups in between :) At which point my darling B. (Oh how I love this man!!) will get up and try to resettle the little man. Most of the time he is successful and the little man will sleep until around 6. Sometimes later if I'm really lucky - but most of the time 6 am is the wake up time for me.
blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 6am I hate you. I've always hated you. I would rather not to see you at all. I hated you when I was forcing myself to get up and go to the gym, to attend personal training and to get to meetings before work, but I HATE you even more now that I am forced to see you on a daily basis........
Even worse is the fact that the little man wakes up HAPPY!!! He is ready to play - whilst I am usually thinking 'why the hell don't I drink coffee??'. I need more sleep!!
I look forward to the days of sleep ins again... maybe in 10 years time!

My Place & Yours
One of my favourite games to play along with :) Each week Danielle over at Hello Owl announces a theme and anyone who would like to play along gets snapping around the house and posts a couple of pics.
This week - "Where you sit down to eat?"
B and I try to sit down to eat every night - but the little man often has an 'intuition' around dinner time and chooses to wake - in which case one of us will eat and the other will resettle the little man. Then we swap! The joys of parenthood :)
This is our dining table - We eat here 90% of the time...... the other 10% on the couch!
and FYI we don't usually have this guest at the dinner table with us...... It seems since the little mans arrival I have loosened the discipline reigns for Miss Roxy....
N.B - she was removed from the table as soon as I had taken this pic!
So play along and share with us - where do you eat?

New moments
I've been MIA for a while now - What a busy few weeks I have had!
I felt a little lost to be honest, like I was trying to do too much (going back to work, being a mummy, blogging, seeing friends, doing household chores ) and didn't have enough time to do anything completely or properly - to my own satisfaction. So I let some things slide (this blog being one of them) and re focused my attention on the things I needed to do!
But I'm back - my head is straight and I want to share some exciting things that have been happening in my life! (things that I find exciting anyway!)
My little man is almost 5 months old now and it seems like he is learning new things almost daily - such an exciting time for myself and B.
A few weeks ago I got some new toys out of the cupboard for the little man (He was VERY spoilt at Christmas and I put most of the things away). One of these was a little xylophone/piano thing that he got from his Aunty. We unwrapped it and showed him how to use it - played with it together..... Honestly it was kind of a fizzer - he was totally not interested.
Fast forward a few weeks later and B and the little man were going through their normal nightly routine - play - bath - feed - bed. I was getting dinner ready when B yelled out to me and asked me to bring the camera. I walked into the little mans room and saw him playing himself! B said that he had just reached for it and started playing :)
It's these new moments that we are sharing with him that constantly bring a smile to my face! I love watching him learn and grow - Such beautiful times ahead.
Warning - He is trying to get moving!!!! I need to baby proof this house pronto!!!
Are there any other new moments you've shared? What's bring a smile to your face this week?
xx
